If you have a group, are a church, or are a teacher, and topics such as India, Poverty, the Environment and Water are relevant then we may be able to help you with information and resources. We are more than willing to come to your church, group or school to give an illustrated talk about our work in India. Appropriate talks can be arranged for adults and for primary and secondary school levels. These can cover Environmental, and Social issues as well as Water Management topics. Please contact the office. We have produced a short PowerPoint presentation on a CD which explains how we are helping the people of Rajasthan to manage their water resources. It explains the various techniques we are using to conserve as much as possible of the monsoon rain within water catchment areas. It is most suitable for secondary school students. Please ask the office for a copy. For younger children we have available a story pack ‘Desperate for a Drink’ based on a village girl called Hasli. It describes her life and how she has to help her mother in the daily search for water and looking after the animals, making it very difficult for her to regularly attend school. Click on the Mudka above to read Hansli’s story. Take a look at our image library. If you would like copies of these photographs or to use them in publicising the work of Wells for India please contact the office. |
