The WASHED project running in twenty villages of the Baap block of Jodhpur focuses on school children with the aim of awareness-generation and cultivation of habits relating to sanitation which lead towards better health. The project involves the children studying in both the government schools as well as GRAVIS schools. This year Wells for India  continued supporting five ongoing schools by providing them with logistical support such as teacher’s salary, teaching materials etc. A total of 248 students are enrolled  in these  five schools out of which 132 are girls. Also, the construction of three toilets has been done under the project.

Apart from the above activities, ten health camps have been organized in five schools in which about 525 patients (including adults and children) were treated. The common ailments treated were measles, cough and cold, fever and gastritis.
